We are pleased to announce that Daniel Magnan has accepted the role of Principal at Calgary Christian Elementary School, commencing August 22, 2022.
Dan has been at Heritage Christian Academy since August of 2006, and he has been serving as a Vice-Principal there since 2014.
Dan has a Bachelor of Education and Physical Education from the University of Alberta. Dan is passionate about creating an authentic, Christ-centered environment where students can thrive and discover the gifts and abilities God has given them.
Dan’s teaching and leadership philosophy focuses on listening, collaborating and building relationships to ensure the best student learning outcomes are achieved. Dan also firmly believes in the power of sport and play to bring communities together. He believes that strong extracurricular programming leads to a greater sense of community and better learning outcomes for students.
Dan has been married to his wife Amy for almost 20 years and they have 3 kids (Norah 16, Rayah 13 and Hudson 11) and they enjoy camping and spending time outdoors together. The whole family is heavily involved with basketball and Dan is also a coach at his local community basketball association as well.
