With the arrival of snow and icy roads, it’s more important than ever to adjust our driving and take extra precautions to ensure everyone gets to and from school safely. By working together and staying mindful of road safety, we can create a safer community for our students. Let’s all do our part to keep each other safe—whether you’re a driver, a parent, or a student, we all have a role to play.
Plan Ahead: Leave early to avoid rushing. It’s safer and less stressful!
Use Crosswalks: Always cross at designated crosswalks and look both ways—twice!
Follow the Speed Limit: Slow down in school zones.
Stay Visible: Bright or reflective clothing helps drivers see kids, especially on darker mornings.
Bus Safety: Stay seated, face forward, and wait for the bus to stop completely before getting on or off.
Pick-Up & Drop-Off: Use designated areas and be patient—safety comes first!
Teach Awareness: Talk to your kids about being cautious around driveways, alleys, and parked cars.
