Forget the first sighting of a robin or a blooming crocus. Among the first signs that we've escaped winter's icy clutches is the coming of the first spring concerts across Palliser Regional Schools.
Coalhurst Elementary School recently held its senior spring concert for family and friends. The concert, based loosely on the book "The Day the Crayons Quit," featured handbell, choir, ukulele and percussion performances from more than 115 students under the direction of music teacher Deanna Berberich.
Among the numbers performed were "True Colors," "Over the Rainbow" and "99 Red Balloons."
Here are some images from the dress rehearsal earlier that day.
