Palliser Regional Schools is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the passenger involved in Monday's collision with one of our buses. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.
Lethbridge RCMP confirmed the woman passed away from her injuries in a Calgary hospital Wednesday evening. Police said she was in her mid 60s and from the Picture Butte area.
This incident serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of safety in and around school buses.

The division is in its fourth year of its Think of Us on the Bus campaign, a multifaceted safety program that includes public awareness, bus driver and student safety assemblies and partnership with law enforcement. This sad event underscores the need for this safety work to continue.
