Special meeting planned Thursday, Nov. 3 at Palliser’s office in Lethbridge
The Board of Trustees of Palliser Regional Schools will hold a special meeting Thursday, Nov. 3 to receive the results of an independent, organizational review of the division.
The public portion of the meeting will begin at 11 a.m. at Palliser’s Central Office in Lethbridge.
The review was requested in January by Superintendent Kevin Gietz to address allegations being made online. The review team was selected in late May and began work in June.
The review’s terms of reference outlined four key areas for examination: Organizational Climate, Culture and Leadership; Governance Practices; Accountability to Stakeholders; and Internal and External Communication Practices.
Dr. Terence Weninger of Lethbridge and Dr. Kelly Williams-Whitt of Calgary conducted the review, which was scheduled for completion by Oct. 31.
Nov. 3 is the earliest date both review panelists were available to meet with the board.
While the board and administration have not been made privy to any part of the report or its findings, it’s anticipated the reviewers will share an executive summary and recommendations at the meeting.
