Appointment of New Superintendent/CEO

The Board of Trustees of Palliser School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Hamer as the new Superintendent of Schools, effective August 1, 2025.

Following an extensive search process that included both national and provincial advertisement and a competitive selection process, the Board is confident that Mr. Hamer is the right leader to guide Palliser School Division into the future. Mr. Hamer brings 29 years of experience in education, leadership, and administration, having previously served as a teacher and school administrator in Quebec as well as holding system leadership roles over the past 11 years as a Director, Associate Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent here in Palliser School Division. Tom Hamer’s career has been dedicated to fostering student success, supporting educators, and strengthening school communities.

"His vision, commitment to excellence, and deep understanding of our diverse communities will be instrumental in leading our division forward. In his new role, Mr. Hamer will oversee the operations of Palliser School Division, working closely with the Board of Trustees, staff, students, families, and community partners to ensure a strong, student-centered learning environment and a high performing school division.

"Together, we will build on the division’s strengths and embrace new opportunities to enhance education for all learners."
