Procedures

To assist schools in motivating and supporting excellence in curricular learning and achievement for all students, the division may consider financial support to help offset the expense of students who excel at the provincial level and qualify for national or international competition at a site outside of Alberta in a discipline operating under AASA, Skills Canada or another enterprise directly focused on secondary student activities only.

1. Students and/or parents of students who might qualify for assistance will seek a recommendation from the principal of the school and apply to the Superintendent.
2. The student(s) and parents involved may be asked to attend a Board meeting and make a presentation.
3. Club and community-based activities are specifically excluded from this administrative procedure and will not be considered for support under this administrative procedure.
