Palliser Regional Schools is fortunate to have an abundance of outstanding teachers and principals whose commitment to excellence elevates their colleagues, brings out the best of their students and supports parents/guardians who want the best for their children.

We'd ask you, as students, parents, colleagues and community members, to reflect on these amazing educators and nominate them for a 2014 Excellence in Teaching Award, celebrating the best educators across Alberta.

“Outstanding educators create outstanding students – giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential. Each year, we hear incredible stories of how our talented, dedicated teachers and principals are bringing the vision of Inspiring Education to life. We’re proud to recognize their achievements and their contributions to building Alberta.”
- Jeff Johnson, Minister of Education

Nominations are being accepted by Alberta Education until February 7, 2014. Approximately 130 semi-finalists will be selected, with 20 receiving Excellence in Teaching Awards. Award recipients will be presented with certificates of recognition and funding for professional development during a formal ceremony in May 2014.
