Palliser Regional Schools congratulates Sydney Moore, teacher at Noble Central School in Nobleford, on being named the division's finalist for the Alberta School Boards Association Edwin Parr Award for Zone 6.
The Edwin Parr Award recognizes outstanding first-year teachers who portray higher levels of employee morale and commitment to student learning.
Palliser received four nominations for the award. Sydney was selected to represent Palliser for the Zone 6 Edwin Parr Award. Each of the 10 school boards from across southern Alberta can nominate an outstanding first-year teacher for the award. The Zone 6 winner will be announced at a Zone 6 celebration May 13th. Winners from ASBA zones across the province will be honoured at the association's annual fall conference in Edmonton in November.
Congratulations to fellow Edwin Parr nominees in Palliser: Joy Willems, a teacher at Jennie Emery Elementary School in Coaldale; Casey Scheidegger, teacher at Barons School; and Stephanie Krammer, teacher at Palliser Beyond Borders.
